Daisy Dalit Sigal

Daisy is a Soprano from Montreal, Canada. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studies with Marlena Malas. In 2018, she won First Prize in the Broadway/Musical Theatre category of the American Protégé International Vocal Competition. She then went on to seriously study classical voice in a joint program between Marianopolis College and McGill’s Schulich School of Music, in Montreal. Daisy participated in many vocal competitions and festivals in Quebec and Ontario, where she was awarded First and Second prizes. In 2021, she participated in the Festival-Concours de Musique Classique de Pierre-de-Saurel in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. Winner of the Concerto Competition, she was invited to sing with the Orchestre Nouvelle Génération, under the guidance of Natasha Turovsky. In June 2023, Daisy was invited to perform as a soloist in the 12th annual edition of the Future Star’s Grand Premiere gala concert at the Place des Arts in Montreal. Aside from that, Daisy has also been part of many theatrical productions and scenes. Some of her important roles include Demeter in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats (2017), and Sutton/Marine/Mrs. Foster in Kurt Weill’s Lady in the Dark (2023, CHQ Opera Conservatory). In January 2023, she performed the role of “Une Bête” in her school’s concert production of Maurice Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, and in July of the same year she had her official opera role debut as the Sorella Infermiera in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory, on the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheatre stage.
