Ghalip Ekber
Tenor

Ghalip Ekber is a tenor from Xinjiang, China. He is currently studying with Katherine Ciesinski as a Master Exchange student in Eastman School of Music. He studied Voice with Dilber Yunus and received his bachelor degree in Vocal and Opera Performance in Central Conservatory of Music,Beijing. Ghalip was selected as the Apprentice Artist for the Vocal Young Artist Training Program of China - 4th Shenzhen Vocal Music Season in 2022. He won the Huang Zi Award in 3rd Chinese Art Song International Singing Competition in 2023. On stage he has sung the roles of and Aeneas in Dido, Duca in Rigoletto, Ein Offzier in Ariadne auf Naxos,Radamès in Aida. Soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Vesperae Solennes de Confessore and Pergolas Magnificat. In Bach Cantata BWV77 “Du sollt Gott, deinen, Herren, Lieben”. Soloist in China International Vocal Music Art Week Concert. Chorus in La Cenerentola. He studied the violin for 12 years from 5 years old and began to study voice at the age of 18.
