Daryl Goldberg
Cello

Daryl Goldberg, cello, has been praised by the New York Times for her “musicality, skill and commitment”. She is a long time member of the New York Pops and performs with numerous NYC free-lance orchestras, appearing often at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Broadway Theaters. She has served as acting Principal for both the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and Chautauqua Opera. This season is her 38th with the CSO.Orchestra tours have taken her across the ocean to both Japan and Korea as well as throughout the United States. Performances with popular stars include Tony Bennett, Chris Botti, Kristin Chenoweth, Miss Piggy, Pink Martini, and classical stars Emmanuel Ax, Joshua Bell, Itzhak Perlman and Yo Yo Ma. 

She has been featured in concerts with the Leonia Chamber Musicians Society, Inc. series in Leonia, New Jersey, as well as in New York City at the Weill (Carnegie) Recital Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art Patrons Series. Her broadcasts include the National Public Radio series, All Things Considered, WBAI’s Around the Town, and Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion. She has recorded for CBS, CRI, EMI and RCA, including several Broadway cast albums.

Ms. Goldberg is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Yale School of Music. She is the cello teacher for the Far Brook School (Short Hills, N.J.), Encore Music Studio (Ridgewood, NJ), and Fordham University.
