Runyang Wang was born in 2004 and began his piano studies when he was 4 years old. He gave his solo recital debut at the age of 5, and by the age of 9 he had been admitted to the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music as a recipient of annual scholarship. He has won major prizes in international and regional competitions including the Pacific Rim Piano Competition and Shenzhen Open Piano Competition, and performed on the stage of major events including the Morningside Music Bridge. Also winning prizes as performer in both chamber music and composition competitions, he is versatile in his pursuit of the sound of beauty. After 10 years of study in Shanghai, Runyang Wang currently pursues a Bachelor of Music at Eastman School of Music, where he studies with Professor Alexander Kobrin.
