Katherine Malone is a 25 year old soprano and lifelong Chautauquan from Greenville, South Carolina. She was a 2023 Chautauqua Sigma Alpha Iota Competition Winner, a 2023-24 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition South Carolina District Encouragement Award Winner, and a 2024 Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Competition Finalist. She recently received her Professional Studies Certificate from Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Marlena Malas and Mary Dunleavy. She also holds a Master of Music Degree in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America. Additionally, she has received training at summer programs such as the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory and Brevard Music Center. Some of Katherine's past opera roles include Lisette (La rondine), Laurie Moss (The Tender Land), La Princesse (L'enfant et les sortilèges), and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica).
