Anna Mears is pursuing her Masters in double bass with Kurt Muroki at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She earned her bachelors of music Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) with Rachel Calin. Orchestra experience includes IU orchestras, CCM Concert Orchestra, CCM Philharmonia, Kentucky Symphony and the New Albany Symphony. She has attended summer festivals at the National Orchestral Institute, Orford Musique, Le Domaine Forget, Kinhaven young artist seminar, and Eastern Music Festival’s string leadership program. Anna has performed in masterclasses for Martin Rosso, Joe Conyards, Nina Descesar, Jeff Turner, and Paul Ellison. Additional teachers include Larry Hurst, Craig Brown, and Owen Lee.
