An advocate for the arts, Hannah Kim is a performer, teacher, and arts leader based in Rochester, NY.
As a performer, she has been invited to share the stage with renowned musicians, including Joyce Yang, Orli Shaham, conductor Giancarlo Guerrero, and singer/songwriter Esperanza Spalding.
She has also performed in masterclasses for Daniel Phillips, Peter Basquin, and Colin Carr.
A devoted chamber musician, Kim has been invited to perform with her groups and work with members of award-winning ensembles, including the Horszowski Trio, Ying, Calidore, American, and Cleveland Quartets.
Hannah Kim also earned an Arts Leadership Program Certificate within the Eastman’s Institute for Music Leadership and has done extensive work as an arts administrator. Currently working in the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations, she was a former Catherine Filene Shouse Arts Leadership Fellow who was invited to work with the Ear Taxi Festival, Chicago and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Over the summers, she has been continuing to develop her musician skills under prestigious teachers at music festivals, including Bowdoin International Music Festival, Maine Chamber Music Seminar, Center Stage for Strings, and Meadowmount School of Music.
Hannah Kim completed her undergraduate degree in violin performance and is finishing her master’s degree under the tutelage of Renée Jolles at the Eastman School of Music.
