Driven by my passion for clarinet, I started my undergraduate study at China Conservatory of Music, where I received rigorous training guided by Professor Yi He. During my undergraduate journey, my academic knowledge and practical skills advanced comprehensively, which helped me win awards in various competitions, and secure the opportunity to perform with professional orchestras, including the China NCPA Orchestra.
In my junior year, I was recommended by my undergraduate teacher to pursue graduate study at Indiana University, where I met my mentor Professor Eli Eban, the tenured principal clarinetist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. My time at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has been both valuable and productive. Throughout this journey, I have gained extensive experience in music performance and secured the position of principal clarinetist in the university's Philharmonic Orchestra. My solo, ensemble, and orchestral performance skills significantly improved thanks to the outstanding education I have received.
I will continue to pursue an Artist's Diploma at Indiana University on August.
