Rebecca Guy directed, taught and acted with the Chautauqua Conservatory Theater Company from 1983 to 2004, serving as Artistic Director from 1988 to 2004.  

 

She was a member of the Juilliard Drama Division faculty from 1993 to 2021, where she directed productions and projects and taught scene study, Shakespeare scene study and text analysis. She was also on faculty at Barnard College/Columbia University Theater Department and the Syracuse University Tepper Semester in New York City. She served as co-artistic director, with Ralph Zito, of Directing Shakespeare, a Hands-On Workshop for Theater Educators, offered by the Juilliard School Evening Division. Other credits include teaching and/or directing at The Sundance Institute, The University of Evansville, The Circle in the Square Theater School, Sarah Lawrence College, Old Dominion University, The Acting Company and UNC-Chapel Hill, among others.  

 

Her most memorable acting experience was playing the Nurse in Vivienne BeneschThe Romeo and Juliet Project” (Chautauqua Theater Company, 2013).
