Rebekah Geller has been playing the violin for 16 years, beginning her studies at the age of three. She currently studies with Aaron Berofsky at the University of Michigan where she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in classical violin performance, and where she has been awarded the Rogel Award of Excellence Scholarship. She has been concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra, in which she played for 10 years, performing at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. She was the winner of the 2022 Rockville Music Competition, High School Strings Division; a Finalist in the National Chamber Orchestra Outstanding Young Artist Competition 2022; and winner of the Bourse du Campeur par Excellence Award for the student with greatest potential, outstanding attitude and dedication in her work at Camp Musicales des Laurentides, Quebec, Canada, 2022.
Rebekah also plays jazz, folk, klezmer and contemporary music, and composes her own music. She has attended summer music programs at the Berklee College of Music, The Kanack School of Musical Artistry, and Ashokan Music and Dance Camps, and served as a staff musician for Pinewoods Camps, Inc. She led the Park School of Baltimore jazz ensemble and female a capella group.
