From Coquimbo, Chile, percussionist Jose Diaz completed his musical studies at the Jorge Peña Hen School of Music in his hometown. He then pursued his undergraduate studies in percussion at the University of Chile. In 2021, Jose joined as a principal percussionist in the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Chile, where he participated until 2023. In that year, Jose came to the United States to join the percussion studio of Ted Atkatz at Lynn Conservatory. Jose likes to run along the beach in Boca Raton on the weekends listening the sound of the ocean.
