Dori Rothschild began her dance training with her mother, Joni Goldstein. At the age 8, she began dancing at the Ruth Page School of Dance. During her studies at Ruth Page School, she danced in Ruth Page’s The Nutcracker at Arie Crown Theater from 1989-1996, performing numerous roles in the production. She then finished her final two years of high school at the Houston Ballet Academy.
Dori received her Bachelor of Science in ballet at Indiana University where she trained under Violette Verdy. Her professional career includes performing with The Washington Ballet, Ballet Gamonet in Miami, Ballet Florida, Ballet Met, and the Warner Bros. “Casablanca, The Dance” tour to China with John Clifford. She has also performed as a guest artist with the Civic Ballet of Chicago.
Dori has taught dance at North Suburban School of Dance and Glenbrook South Highschool and has served as a guest teacher at the Lou Conte Dance Studio. She is currently an instructor at the Ruth Page School of Dance as well as a private Gyrotonic instructor. She still loves taking her weekly ballet classes at Ruth Page School! Dori currently lives in Chicago with her husband, Rob, and two daughters, Remi and Livi.
