Victor Alexander
Director, Ruth Page School of Dance & Ruth Page Professional Dance Training Program

Victor Alexander is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor native to Pinar del Rio, Cuba. He currently serves as the Director of the Ruth Page School of Dance and the Ruth Page Professional Dance Training Program, where he continues a greater than 50-year tradition of exceptional training and mentoring of the next generation of artists. His insight, experience, and dedication come from his international dancing, choreography, and teaching career. He trained at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana, graduating in 1992 with a Modern and Cuban folkloric dance degree. He was a principal dancer for Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, where his technical talent and expressive dance style gained national prominence. Alexander performed throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States. Since relocating to Chicago, Alexander has performed with Lyric Opera, Hubbard Street Dance, Houston Grand Opera, Hedwig Dances, CDI/Concert Dance Inc., and Luna Negra Dance Theater.
