Ms. Birute trained in Chicago with Richard Ellis, Christine DuBoulay, Larry Long, and Ben Stevenson. She danced with the Chicago Ballet, touring France, Austria and Germany. As a highly respected teacher, she taught in Lithuania for Lithuanian National Ballet, Ballet Moscow in Idaho, and Chattanooga Ballet. In Chicago, she was on the teaching faculty at Lou Conte Dance Studio and taught company ballet classes for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She has been on the Ruth Page School of Dance faculty for many decades and is currently on faculty with Chicago Movement Collective. She has been a guest teacher for Luna Negra Dance Theater, Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, and Grand Rapids Ballet. Ms. Barodiçaite has the rare distinction of being invited as a guest teacher at Escuela Nacional de Ballet de Cuba in Havana.
