Kyra Olson is originally from Wolcott, Connecticut, where she began training at Studio One and Triple Threat Dance Company. She attended Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts and graduated from their two-year post-high school program. In 2018, Kyra joined the Ruth Page Training Company. She had the opportunity to perform as Aurora, American Beauty Rose from Ruth Page’s The Nutcracker, Raymonda, Giselle Peasant Pas, Esmeralda Pas de Deux, and Pasaje del Tiempo by Victor Alexander. She attended ballet workshops in Estonia in the summers of 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024. Kyra joined the Minnesota Ballet in 2020, where she had the opportunity to perform Concourse by Petr Zahradnicek and many works by Karl von Rabenau, including Sleepy Hallow, Poe, and The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary works by both Karl and Jennifer Miller. After four years with Minnesota Ballet, Kyra returned to Chicago to continue her performance career.
