Jennifer Doersch began playing horn in 6th grade in Minnesota and was a member of the Minnesota Youth Symphony in high school. After attending Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she obtained her degree in Horn Performance from The University of Denver in 1983. Jenny moved to Colorado in 1982 to play with the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra and the 2022-23 season marks 40 years with the (now) Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra where she has played both 2nd and 4th horn. Her time in Colorado has also included freelance playing with groups such as The Denver Symphony, Denver Brass and The Colorado Ballet as well as an active teaching studio. She has been married to her husband, Randy for 38 years and has 2 grown children, one granddaughter and a grandson on the way!
