Emily Luria

Emily Luria is originally from Mason, Ohio, where she began her dance training with Mason Dance Center. She then went on to finish her high school years training with Le Jeune Dance Academy under the direction of Steve Beirens and Hannah Dorfmueller.

In 2018, Emily was offered a scholarship with BalletMet’s trainee program and performed in several company productions during the 2018-2020 seasons including Edwaard Liang’s Don Quixote, Cinderella, Tributary, and Alice in Wonderland. She also had opportunities to perform and rehearse principal and soloist roles for productions within BalletMet’s trainee program including the Russian Principle from Serenade and Giselle. After two seasons in the trainee program, Emily was promoted to BalletMet’s second company for the 2020-2021 season. As a second company member, Emily danced in multiple classical and contemporary works both within the second company and alongside the main company. She had many opportunities to perform in various roles with the main company, including a classical pas de deux choreographed by Edwaard Liang.

Emily is very excited for her first season with Dayton Ballet.
