Allen Michael Jones is rapidly building an exciting up-and-coming career. As Resident Studio Artist with Minnesota Opera for the 2020-21 season, he was scheduled in several key roles, all canceled due to COVID-19. Instead, he performed as Man in Don’t Tread On Me: A Century of Racism and Superintendent Budd in Albert Herring. During Summer 2021, Allen joined Santa Fe Opera, singing Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin and covering Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Van Helsing in the world premiere of The Lord of Cries. Most recently, he performed with Toledo Opera as Ferrando in Il trovatore. Allen is a graduate of Morehouse College and Georgia State University.
