What has been your favorite role so far?
Either Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby or the Rat King in Nutcracker because I love a dramatic death scene.

What do you do when you’re not dancing?
When I’m not dancing, I enjoy woodworking and making things in general.

What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t a professional dancer?
I enjoy teaching dance, but also would like to start a furniture making business.

Do you participate in any sports?
I compete in rock climbing.

What are you most looking forward to this season?
I’m excited for everything this season but especially looking forward to Sleepy Hollow and Peter Pan.

Lukas Pringle started dance in his home town of Carmel, Indiana, where he performed lead roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, and Peter Pan. At seventeen he joined the Kansas City Ballet, performing with them for two years before joining Richmond Ballet. As a Richmond Ballet II member, he performed with the company in pieces such as Journey and Who Cares?, as well as performing in their productions of The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and The Sleeping Beauty. Lukas is thrilled for his fourth season with Dayton Ballet.
