Kathryn Rohe
Costume Designer

Before joining Ball State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance in 2018, Kathryn Rohe lived and worked in New York City, designing primarily for the award-winning Off-Broadway company, Transport Group. During that time, she designed the costumes for eight world premieres, including Terrence McNally's And Away We Go (Pearl Theatre, 2013) and Michael John LaChuisa's Queen of the Mist (Transport Group, 2011). Regionally she has designed for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Two River Theater, Clarence Brown Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Chautauqua Conservatory Theatre Company, the Hippodrome Theatre, and Operafestival di Roma. She is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, and thrilled for this opportunity to work with the Dayton Opera and its fine community of artists, supporters, and leaders. Many thanks to Kelly DeLisle for the introduction, and to Kathleen Clawson for taking a chance on her.
