Anna Katherine Barnett-Hart

Anna Katherine ("AK") Barnett-Hart began playing the violin at age three and studied under James Maurer at the University of Denver until she was 18. In 2003, she was accepted to Juilliard, where she studied under Itzahk Perlman. AK went on to study economics at Harvard, graduating magna cum laude with highest honors. 

AK has appeared as a soloist with the Colorado Symphony, Ft. Collins Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra among others. Most recently, she performed alongside pop singer Ben Folds at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC for Arts Advocacy Day and was featured as a soloist with the Camerata Notturna Orchestra in New York’s Lincoln Center.

AK served as the concertmistress of the Longwood Symphony Orchestra In Boston and is now the associate concertmistress of the Denver Philharmonic. She currently works as a Director of New Business Verticals for DoorDash, an on-demand restaurant delivery app. She lives in Louisville with her partner and 8-month-old daughter.
