COLE MCCARTY (Costume/Hair, Wig & Makeup Design) is a costume designer based in NYC and Texas whose work has been featured regionally and in New York. He serves as the resident costume designer for the Brooklyn-based theater and media company, Fake Friends, having designed all their workshops and productions including Doll’s House, Part 3, and the Pulitzer Prize-nominated Circle Jerk. Their latest collaboration The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse will open next spring in NYC. His film work has also been seen at various festivals at home and abroad including the Sundance Film Festival, New Director/New Works, the Switzerland International Film Festival, and the Amsterdam International Film Festival. Selected venues: Two River Theater, Portland Stage Company, The Vineyard Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival. In addition to joining the Meadows School of the Arts, McCarty is an adjunct faculty member at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where he teaches “History of Fashion from the Ancients to the 19th Century and 20th Century Fashion.” MFA: Yale School of Drama.
