Nicholas Rhoades

     Nicholas joins the Evansville Philharmonic and Chorus’s production of Turandot as the comprimario Emperor Altoum. An Evansville native and doctoral student in Bioethics at Loyola University Chicago, Nicholas works as a Registered Nurse at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.  Nicholas’s musical education began in elementary school and extended past college during which he studied Tenor and Baritone Saxophone, String Bass, Jazz Guitar, and most recently Drums, playing with local Jazz bands, porch fests, and solo acts throughout the Tri-State area, including guest artist roles in Evansville Philharmonic’s production of La Traviata and West Side Story.  Nicholas’s vocal training began 9 years ago under Jon Truitt D.M.A, Director of Opera and Associate Professor of Music Performance at Ball State University, after which he joined the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus that same year and has been an active member ever since.
