My name is Sona Veeraraghavan and I'm currently a senior at Signature School. I will be attending the University of Southern Indiana in the fall within the Bachelor of Medicine (B/MD) dual program with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. I'm very involved in Signature School's Robotics, Rotary Interact, and German Clubs and spend a lot of my time outside of school volunteering at local nursing homes and hospitals. In my free time, I enjoy journaling, listening to music, learning new languages, and hanging out with friends.
Music has been an integral part of my life. I have been playing the violin since the age of four and the flute for the last eight years, and have been singing Classical Indian (Carnatic) music for over ten years. I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to be a member of EPYO II and EPYO because I've really been able to grow as a musician over the last eight years surrounded by peers with the same motivation to learn and make music. I'm very grateful for all of the support from my conductors; it's really helped me to challenge myself to be the best I can be.
