I have been in epyo for 6 years and I’ve been playing violin for around 12. Epyo was my first ever orchestra experience, so even though I’ve been in many ensembles since then, this group really holds a special place in my heart. So far my favorite experience was our rehearsal with the Philharmonic Chorus last semester. When I first heard the orchestra and chorus together I actually cried because of how beautiful it was. I expect to cry again before, during, or after this concert (probably all three). I’ll really miss this group so much. I will be going to Purdue next year to study entomology and I plan on joining an orchestra and a jazz ensemble. I want to thank Maria Mastropaolo, Dr. Zirkle, Mr. Veazey, Dr. Chen, and my mother for helping me get to where I am today.
