Lisa Clark

Soprano, Lisa Clark is an Associate Professor of Music and Music Program Coordinator at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance from Northwestern, Florida State, and the University of Kentucky where she studied under Dr. Everett McCorvey. Operatic roles include Clara in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Eliza in River of Time, and First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. She has appeared as a soprano soloist in Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore, Fauré’s Requiem, as Merab in Handel’s Saul and as a guest soloist with the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra.  Lisa has been a longtime member of the American Spiritual Ensemble and has previously sung with the New York National Chorale, Apollo Chorus of Chicago, and the Chicago Lyric, San Francisco, and Cincinnati opera choruses in productions of Porgy and Bess. Her students have been finalists in NATS Student Auditions, and many have entered competitive graduate programs. She is an active member of NATS and KMEA and enjoys working with students of all ages.
