Lucky Daye

Lucky Daye is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and genre-blending artist known for his smooth vocals and modern take on classic R&B. Born David Debrandon Brown in New Orleans, he grew up in a religious household where secular music was forbidden. Overcoming those early restrictions, he developed a unique sound that fuses soul, funk, and contemporary R&B.

He began his career behind the scenes as a songwriter and background vocalist before making his solo debut in 2018. His debut album Painted earned multiple Grammy nominations, and he later won his first Grammy for the duet-filled EP Table for Two. His 2022 album Candydrip included the platinum-certified hit “Over,” and his 2024 project Algorithm cemented his place as one of the most innovative voices in R&B today.
