Robin Vest (Set Designer) has been designing whimsical scenery and costumes since 2002. She spent much of her New York career working on new plays, getting to the root of the environment and trying to minimize moving pieces in favor of a seamless evolution of space. Lately she has been designing more musicals, reimagining shows like PETER PAN and ANNIE, connecting to young audiences with playful scenery influenced by the books her own children read. Other favorite projects over the past two years included GLORIA at Profile Theatre directed by Josh Hecht, MISS YOU LIKE HELL directed by Esteban Arévalo Ibáñez at Theatre Squared, and MATILDA at Cape Fear Regional Theatre, directed by Marc de la Concha and THE MAGIC FLUE at Oklahoma City University directed by Cynthia Stokes. Robin recieved her BFA from the University of Oklahoma, and MFA from Yale School of Drama.
David Arevalo (Costume Designer) is a Texas born, Queer, Mexican, costume maker, designer, artist, and educator. His work and practice are grounded in collaboration, slow process, and the transformation of ideas, objects, and expectations. He is excited to make his OKC Rep debut. Michael Costagliola (Sound Designer) is a New York-based sound designer and composer. Previously at OKC: The Great Leap. His work has been heard in NY in productions by The Public, New York Theatre Workshop, Playwrights Horizons, The Shed, La MaMa, Rattlestick, Page 73, and Ars Nova among others, as well as regionally at the Guthrie Theater, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Two River Theater, Yale Rep, St. Louis Rep, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and at various other theaters across the U.S. and abroad. Lara Maerz (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be working here at OKC Rep for the first time! As a career stage manager, Lara is based out of the Denver, CO area but has worked all over the country most notably Off Broadway in New York and at Steppenwolf in Chicago. She holds an MFA in stage and production management from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. When not in a dark tech booth, Lara enjoys cooking, seeing theatre as much as possible and hanging out with her partner Rory and their menagerie of pets. Lara is grateful to you our audience for supporting live theatre! This one is for Mom and Jean - her true heroes who always lobby for justice and compassion for all.
Erica Heiselman (Assistant Director) is a current student, graduating this May, of Oklahoma City University getting a BA in Theatre and minors in Directing, Dramaturgy, and Children’s Theatre. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Charis Christy (Assistant Stage Manager) is a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Stage Management. This is her second show with OKC Rep!
Heidi Schreck (Playwright) is a writer and performer living in Brooklyn. Her critically-acclaimed play WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME played an extended, sold-out run on Broadway in 2019 and was nominated for two Tony Awards. A filmed version of the play premiered on Amazon Prime Video and was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, a PGA Award and DGA Award. WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME was named Best of the Year by the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, Time Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, The New Yorker and more. Schreck’s other plays GRAND CONCOURSE, CREATURE and THERE ARE NO MORE BIG SECRETS have also been produced in NYC and all over the country. Most recently, she created a new translation of Chekhov’s UNCLE VANYA for the Broadway production at Lincoln Center. Screenwriting credits include I LOVE DICK, BILLIONS, NURSE JACKIE and DISPATCHES FROM ELSEWHERE. She is the recipient of three Obie Awards, a Drama Desk Award and a Theatre World Award, as well as the Horton Foote Playwriting Award and the Hull-Warriner Award from the Dramatists Guild. Schreck was awarded Smithsonian Magazine’s 2019 American Ingenuity Award for her work in the Performing Arts.
