Creative & Production Team Bios

Brandon J. Burton (Director, PRIMARY TRUST) is an actor/producer/director originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned his BFA from the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music. He co-founded The Lost Theatre company in NYC, was the Youth Conservatory Director then Associate Artistic Director of Venture Theatre (now NOVA) in Billings, Montana. He has performed on stage with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, KNOW Theatre of Cincinnati, New Edgecliff and The Carnegie in Covington. He recently directed A SOLDIER'S PLAY at Oklahoma City University’s School of Theatre. Brandon moved to Oklahoma in 2021 and is ecstatic to now be involved in OKC's artistic community.

Elizabeth Dragoo (Director, THE COMEUPPANCE) is a theatre performer, director, teacher, and choreographer. A proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma Musical Theatre, Elizabeth has been an active member of the theatre community in Oklahoma for over 2 decades. She has performed with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Summerstock Productions, Reduxion Theatre, Kismet Arts, The Sooner Theatre, The Pollard, Oklahoma City Theatre Company, Jewel Box Theatre, Carpenter Square Theatre, Poteet Theatre, and OKC Improv.  Elizabeth has directed, choreographed, and taught classes for Kismet Arts Studio & Theatre, Lyric’s Thelma Gaylord Academy, The Sooner Theatre, El Reno Theatre, The Bethany Stage, Yukon High School, Poteet Theatre and UCO.  She served as the Artistic Director for The Bethany Stage and is currently on the adjunct musical theatre faculty at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Madison Niederhauser (Director, JOHN)  received his BFA in Acting at the University of Oklahoma School of Drama. After graduating from OU, he completed an acting apprenticeship with the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Professional Training Company before going on to receive his MFA in Directing from the University of Idaho. Local directing credits include BUG, GO. PLEASE. GO., EVERYBODY, and LIFE SUCKS. at The University of Oklahoma.  Favorite regional acting credits include  LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST and THE TEMPEST at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, REMIX 38, OUR TOWN, and THE CHRISTIANS at Actors Theatre of Louisville. 

Lauren Brooks (Stage Manager, PRIMARY TRUST) is a Graduate from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance, Double Minor in Stage Management and Directing, with a Certificate in Non-Profit Arts Administration. She has worked in the Oklahoma Theatre Community since 2018, her most recent credits are CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (Jewelbox),CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME (Lyric Academy), and FROG AND TOAD (Lyric Academy). Lauren is thrilled to be a part of the PRIMARY TRUST team and thanks Emily and David for bringing her onboard!

Jenna Norton (Stage Manager, THE COMEUPPANCE) - is an alumna of the University of Oklahoma with her Bachelor's in Fine Arts for Stage Management. Recent credits include THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Stage Manager; Cimarron Opera Company), LEGALLY BLONDE (Stage Manager; Sooner Theatre), MATILDA (Stage Manager; Sooner Theatre), & THINGS I AM TOTALLY, COMPLETELY, AND UTTERLY ASHAMED OF (Stage Manager; RJ Theatre Co.). Upcoming, she will be Stage Managing SCROOGE THE MUSICAL at Sooner Theatre and Assistant Stage Managing THE NUTCRACKER with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and OU Dance.

Courtney A. Smith (Stage Manager, JOHN)

David Pilchman (Production Manager) was born and mostly raised in OKC. After graduating from OU, he Production Stage Managed for The Crown Uptown Theater (Wichita, KS) and several Norwegian Cruise Line shows. David became a Production Manager in NYC working on World Premieres such as THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS, Mike Birbiglia's THANK GOD FOR JOKES, and CLINTON THE MUSICAL. Since moving back home in 2020, he has had the pleasure of working with many local organizations such as Oklahoma Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, OKC Ballet, Painted Sky Opera, RACE Dance, SPARK! Creative Lab, Theatre Crude Fringe Festival, and Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. Recently, David ran as the Independent candidate for OK-State Senate District 46, and is currently the president of the League of Women Voters of Oklahoma County. He wants to encourage you to VOTE at every chance you get. Not just “the big ones.” Thanks to everyone creating and supporting theater in his hometown. Anna Halza (Assistant Director, JOHN) is currently pursuing her BFA in Drama at the University of Oklahoma. Her recent acting credits include CAMP CONTRITION at SheDFW in Dallas, and THE SECRETARIES, LOVE AND INFORMATION, and BODY AWARENESS at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She also co-wrote HOW TO SMOKE THREE CIGARETTES AT ONCE with Co.Arts Theater Co., which recently toured fringe festivals in Omaha and Kansas City. 

Annie Baker (Playwright, JOHN) Full-length plays include THE FLICK (Playwrights Horizons, OBIE Award for Playwriting, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize), CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION (Playwrights Horizons, OBIE Award for Best New American Play, Drama Desk nomination for Best Play), THE ALIENS (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, OBIE Award for Best New American Play), BODY AWARENESS (Atlantic Theater Company, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Play/Emerging Playwright), and an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, for which she also designed the costumes (Soho Rep). Ms. Baker's plays have been performed at over 100 theatres across the USA and in England, Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Latvia, Sweden and Russia. She is a Residency Five playwright at Signature Theatre and a member of New Dramatists, MCC’s Playwrights Coalition and EST. Recent honors include a New York Drama Critics Circle Award, a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nomination, a Lilly Award, a Time Warner Storytelling Fellowship, a MacDowell fellowship and a Master Artist Residency at Atlantic Center for the Arts. A published anthology of her work, The Vermont Plays, is available from TCG books.

Eboni Booth (Playwright, PRIMARY TRUST) is a writer and actor from New York City. Her play PARIS had its premiere at the Atlantic Theater Company. Eboni is a resident playwright at New Dramatists and a recipient of a Steinberg Playwright Award, a Helen Merrill Award for Playwriting, and a John Gassner award. She is a graduate of Juilliard’s playwriting program and the University of Vermont.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (Playwright, THE COMEUPPANCE) is a Brooklyn-based playwright, producer, Tony Award® winner, and two-time Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist. Recent theatre credits include APPROPRIATE (2024 Tony Award® winner for Best Revival of a Play; 2014 Obie Award, Best New American Play, Signature Theatre), THE COMEUPPANCE (Signature Theatre), GIRLS (Yale Rep), EVERYBODY (Signature Theatre), WAR (Yale Rep; Lincoln Center/LCT3), GLORIA (Vineyard Theatre), AN OCTOROON (2014 Obie Award, Best New American Play; Soho Rep, Theatre for a New Audience), and NEIGHBORS (The Public Theater). He currently teaches at Yale University and serves as Vice President of the Dramatists Guild council and on the boards of Soho Rep, Park Avenue Armory, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, and the Dramatists Guild Foundation. Honors include a USA Artists fellowship, a Guggenheim fellowship, the MacArthur fellowship, the Windham-Campbell Prize for Drama, and the inaugural Tennessee Williams Award.

Emily Comisar (Executive Artistic Director) has been a theater person her entire life, but on staff at OKC Rep since September 2022. She has worked in fundraising and management positions at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, MCC Theater, and Pipeline Theatre Company. She was the General & Company Manager for the commercial off-Broadway world premiere of THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, and has produced in festivals including FringeNYC, SheNYC, and the Game Play Festival (The Brick). Emily has also spent many years as a playwright and independent producer. Her full length work includes THE CAMPAIGN (Theatre Crude Fringe Festival 2024), DUMPSTER FIRE (She NYC Festival 2018), UNDROWN'D: SEEKING ASYLUM (co-written with Benita de Wit, Columbia Stages), SWITZERLAND (Lone Star Theatre Co.), MOONLIGHTING (Lone Star Theatre Co.), TRACK TWELVE (FringeNYC), and THE LAST HURRAH (Northwestern University). She is currently an instructor in the OU Online MA in Arts Management program. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Performance Studies from the Northwestern University School of Communications, with specialties in critical studies, adaptation of narrative for the stage, and multimedia performance. She also holds a Master of Arts in Italian Language and Media from Middlebury College and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management & Producing from Columbia University.
