Julian Lee is a senior at Hardin Valley Academy and has been playing the cello for nearly five years. He has been a dedicated member of the KSYOA for four years. Originally from Massachusetts, Julian first taught himself the cello before continuing learning under Andy Bryenton, principal cellist of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. He is currently under the instruction of Dr. Wesley Baldwin, professor of cello at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Throughout his musical journey, Julian has participated in numerous competitions, often reaching the finals, as well as being involved with school clinics. Outside of music, he is actively involved in various school clubs and was formerly on the baseball and swim teams. He enjoys watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with friends. In the fall, Julian plans to study applied physics or nuclear engineering at Purdue University or the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as his top choices. He expresses his deepest gratitude to his family and friends for their support, as well as to Dr. Wesley Baldwin, Andy Bryenton, and the entire KSYOA community for their guidance over the past four years.
