Marisa McConville is a senior at Farragut High School. She has been playing the double bass for 7 years under the instruction of Daniel Shifflett. Marisa has been a member of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra for six years and participated in the ETSBOA All-East Orchestra all four years of high school. Additionally, she was selected for All-State in both her freshman and senior years. Also, an aspiring composer, she has had her compositions performed since the sixth grade. This fall, she will be attending the University of Tennessee, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Applied Music with composition specialty. Marisa would like to give special thanks to both her parents and Katie Liaw for their unwavering encouragement throughout her musical journey.
