Mattie Miller

Mattie Miller is a senior with CAK Homeschool and dual-enrolled at Pellissippi State Community College. Privately taught by Mrs. Rachel Acuff. As a talented oboist and pianist, she has had great success auditioning for honor bands and orchestras, as she was chosen to participate in Tennessee All-East and All-State ensembles for three consecutive years, and is currently serving as Principal Oboe in the youth orchestra. Accomplishments include Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts summer program and Principal Oboe for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Oak Ridge Playhouse. Mattie has been an active member of the Concord Orchestra since 2020, performing for renowned Christian artists such as Chris Blue and TaRanda Greene. In addition to Mattie’s musical accomplishments, she is dedicated to her academic pursuits. She is a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars, Eta Sigma Alpha National Homeschool Honor Society, and Beta Club. Mattie is the embodiment of defiant joy and a lover of Jesus Christ. This fall, Mattie will be attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, pursuing a degree in Music Performance.
