Basil Guss is a senior at L&N STEM Academy and has been a musician for over 7 years. She played clarinet for 3 years, before switching to bassoon in high school, which she has played ever since. This year is her first year in the KSYO. Basil has attended three All-East clinics and one All-State clinic, all on bassoon. In her free time, she enjoys playing games with friends, practicing martial arts, chatting with her head mates, and working on her multi-year worldbuilding project, Eħiandoŕ. Basil is waiting for all of her offers to come in before making a college decision but will likely be studying linguistics. Basil would like to thank her private instructors (Travis Jones and Zach Millwood) for helping her grow as a musician, her closest friends (you know who you are :3) for keeping her going, and her various head mates (all of them!) for literally being a part of her life.
