Julius Hao is a senior at Farragut High School and has played the viola for almost 7 years, 4 of which have been with KSYO. Through viola, he also participates in his school orchestra and in the TMEA All-East and All-State ensembles. Music is extremely important to him as he also enjoys playing piano, listening to music, and arranging music in his free time. Outside of music, Julius enjoys playing sports like basketball and ping pong with his friends and family, taking photos with his camera, learning Chinese martial arts, and participating in other school clubs and activities. Despite not yet finalizing where he’ll go to college, Julius plans on focusing on pre-medicine, majoring in either Biochemistry or Biology. Throughout all the years playing music and performing for audiences, Julius gained a wider appreciation for all music and the effort channeled through it, and he is extremely thankful for all the friends, family, teachers, and conductors who have all made an impact on his musical journey.
