Pax LaDuke
Horn

Pax LaDuke is a senior at Maryville High School. He has studied French Horn under Mrs. Simpson since 2018 and has been a proud member of the Maryville High School Marching Band and Concert Band throughout his high school career. Pax has performed with the Maryville Community Band for the last three years and has played in the KSYO Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. He was accepted to the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts for French Horn, a testament to his exceptional musical talent. Pax helped form a quintet with four other seniors called The High Fives.  They recently earned all superior ratings at the Tennessee Music Educators Association State Festival. Perhaps most impressively, Pax recently composed his first full orchestral piece, "All Tomorrows," and will serve as conductor in an upcoming Maryville High School performance of the work. This fall, he will be attending Middle Tennessee State University to pursue a degree in Music Education. Pax would like to thank Mrs. Simpson for her years of dedicated instruction, Mr. Haiden and Mr. Leichmann for their guidance, his family for their unwavering support, and the entire KSYO community for the memories and opportunities that have shaped him as a musician.
