Hudson McBrien is a senior at Roane County High School. This is his first year with KSYO. A student of Tom Lundberg, he also plays bass trombone with the Knoxville Jazz Youth Orchestra. He participated in the ETSBOA All East clinic sophomore through senior years and has participated in the ETSBOA Jazz Clinic his junior and senior year. Hudson has been playing trombone for 7 years and Bass Trombone for 2 1/2 years. He plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he will be studying mechanical engineering and plans to minor in music performance. Hudson has been accepted into the Pride of the Southland Marching band and will be participating in the Fall 2026 marching season. He is thankful for his family, band directors, and peers that have led and pushed him this far in his musical career and is excited to continue this journey for the rest of my foreseeable life.
