Cassandra Chor is a senior at Hardin Valley Academy. She has played viola for seven years under the instruction of Jen Bloch, and with early instruction from Abigail Hatala; she has been a member of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra for three seasons and the Knoxville Symphony Youth Chamber Music Program for four. In school, Cassandra has devoted most of her high school career to the study of different languages including, but not limited to Spanish, French, and Chinese. This has resulted in generous scholarships, and because of her passion for linguistics and foreign language education, she plans to attend Indiana University’s Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies to pursue a double major in Linguistics and East Asian Languages and Cultures as a member of the intensive Chinese Flagship Program in the fall of 2022.
