Allison Rogers
bassoon

Allison began her training at age 13 with UT professor, Zach Millwood. She started playing in the band ensemble at Gresham Middle School that same year under the direction of Dr. Sean Greene. She is currently under the private instruction of Dr. Staci Spring, bassoon faculty at UTK, Chattanooga, and Lee University. Allison has also taken private voice and piano lessons with Meagan Humphreys, voice professor at Pellissippi State.

Allison resides in Fountain City with her parents Ron and Lisa Rogers and is in her junior year at Central High School. She is a member of the Central Bobcat marching and concert bands, under the direction of Alex Mink. She is also a member of the Bobcat Company choral ensemble at Central High School.

Allison has been a member of the ETSBOA All-East clinic and TMEA All-State. She attended Tennessee Governors School for the Arts in the summer of 2022 on scholarship and was chosen to perform in the honors recital while there. She is currently the principal bassoonist of the KSYOA, participates in the KSYOA Chamber Music Program, and was chosen as a “Rising Star” with the Tennessee Wind Symphony.
