Kate Cho is a senior at Farragut High School. She has been in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra for seven seasons and played cello under the instruction of Dr. Wesley Baldwin for the past seven years. Within the KSYOA, she volunteers with the Preludium Orchestra and is a member of the Student Rep Committee. She is very grateful to Ms. Kathy Hart and Mrs. Katie Liaw for their guidance in orchestra-related opportunities and for fostering her love of music. Throughout high school, she played piano under the instruction of Dr. Fay Adams, who she is immensely grateful for. In school, Kate is very involved in various debate and humanities activities, such as the German Learning Community and Model United Nations. Along with creative writing, she is immensely grateful for cello and Dr. Baldwin’s guidance in fostering her creativity and artistic interests. Kate will be attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program, a joint program run by the Wharton School, where she will be studying business and international studies. She plans to minor in German, her Huntsman target language, and Turkish.
