Dubbed “the Robin Williams of opera” by the New York Times, Knoxville native Kevin Burdette has impressed audiences around the world with his mellifluous bass voice and strongly dramatic characterizations. On the concert stage, Kevin has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Les Violons du Roy, and many others, and worked with such luminaries as Gustavo Dudamel, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Alan Gilbert, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Neeme Järvi. On the opera stage, Kevin has performed with La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), Santa Fe Opera, and many others. Kevin’s parents met in Knoxville, and one of their first dates was at the Tennessee Theater.
