NICK HALLETT (Composer) Nick Hallett is a musician, artist, and curator. His scores for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company include Deep Blue Sea (2021), What Problem? (2020), the Analogy Trilogy (2015-2017), A Letter to My Nephew (2015), and Fishkill/Movements 1-45 (2014). He has served as vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and music director for the international tours of these works. Hallett received a 2017 Bessie Award with Ishmael Houston-Jones and Miguel Gutierrez for Variations on Themes from Lost & Found; Scenes from a Life and Other Works by John Bernd. In 2020, his opera collaboration with artist Shana Moulton, Whispering Pines 10, premiered in digital form at www.whisperingpines10.com. His music and transdisciplinary projects have been presented in New York at MoMA, the Whitney, the Guggenheim, Hayden Planetarium, BAM, Performa, New Museum, The Kitchen, Danspace, Roulette, and ISSUE Project Room. Hallett is on the faculties of The New School and School of Visual Arts.
