As artistic curator for the Mann Center’s Voices of Hope events, Chill Moody cemented his status as one of the top lyricists & performers to hit Philadelphia in years when he won “Best Rapper” in Philadelphia Magazine’s annual “Best of Philly” issue. He was also named Philadelphia’s Music Ambassador by Councilman David Oh due to his tireless efforts to “put the city on,” as well as his local and national accomplishments over the years. A West Philadelphia native, his lifestyle brand nicethings now includes a clothing line, consulting firm, a record label (nicethingsMUSIC), a beverage brand featuring nicethingsKOMBUCHA, nicethingsSMOOTHCHARDONNAY and nicethingsBEER. In 2023, he was appointed as the inaugural Community Artist-in-Residence at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, where he contributed to many educational programs, programmed concerts featuring Philadelphia artists, and also performed throughout the season. His latest production is Moody’s Klubhouse; a Philly-centric artist discovery content series featuring performances and interviews with emerging artists.
