Founded in 2011, Bollywood Jhatkas is the University of Richmond’s South Asian fusion dance team, blending traditional styles such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Bhangra with modern and contemporary styles like hip hop. The group celebrates culture and community through movement and welcomes dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Bollywood Jhatkas performs at events such as Diwali, Celebration of Dance, and Bollywood on the Block, creating a fun and engaging space for connection and cultural expression.
