Jeremy V. Morris (Martin) is honored to be returning to University of Richmond to tell the story of two Titans of America in The Meeting. Jeremy is an award-winning Actor and Playwright with a passion for History. He is a Practitioner of Ritual Poetic Drama in the African Continuum, and is working to be a certified instructor of RPD under the tutelage of the incomparable Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates. Working as an Actor/Interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg for over 10 years telling the stories of free and enslaved Africans/African-americans on the eve of the American revolution, he also collaborated on the research and development of new programs, which have been performed internationally. Favorite roles include Sly, Detroit '67 with Firehouse Theatre (RTCC Winner: Best Supporting Actor); Tshembe, Les Blancs at the University of Richmond; Lincoln, Topdog/Underdog with Theaterlab (RTCC nomination: Best Actor); Shadow Tom, Uncle Tom: Deconstructed with The Conciliation Project; and his original play about Bert Williams, The Top of Bravery in which he portrayed Williams, with AART, The Conciliation Project, and Quill Theater (RTCC Winner: Best Actor, Best Original Work).
