Luke Yates
DRAMATURG

Luke Yates takes his first big step into dramaturgy as the dramaturg for The Tragedy of Macbeth. Previously, Luke was the assistant dramaturg for Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. As a dramaturg, he helped research Macbeth’s history and how the story's messages have been adapted over the centuries. He is most intrigued by the play's themes of ambition, tyranny, and cycles of violence. He also helped construct the inspired magical world on stage with the help of his assistant, Autumn Payne. Outside of dramaturgy, Luke loves to explore mythology, folklore, and the art of storytelling.
