Newton “Newt” Schottelkotte (they/them) is a sound designer, actor, playwright, and di-rector who has been on the cast and crew of several MTSU shows (Anon(ymous), Peter and the Starcatcher). They are also a producer of fiction and nonfiction podcasts, including Where the Stars Fell, Mini Marconis, and Inkwyrm, as the head of Caldera Studios, the first of which features several MSTU students from this very show! On their thesis for the sound design of Cabaret, Newt offers this Cesar A. Cruz quote, "Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.
