Darren E. Levin holds a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with Honors from Missouri State University, and MFA in Theatrical Design (Lighting Design Concentration) from The University of Texas at Austin.  

Levin’s creative activity encompasses over 150 productions as lighting designer for Theatre, Dance and Opera. His work includes credits with Nashville Repertory Theatre, Studio Tenn Theatre Company, Black Hills Playhouse, Green Mountain Opera Festival, Theatre West Summer Repertory, Mountain Rep Theatre, and Cedar Point Live Entertainment.

Levin is a proud member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 205 – Austin, Texas. He is also a member of United Scenic Artists 829 (USA829), the union representing designers and scenic artists in the entertainment industry, where he currently serves as a member of the Central Region Lighting Design Exam Committee.
