Cameron Coraggio is in his fourth year at MYSO and his first year in Senior Symphony in he plays violin. Currently, Cameron studies violin with Joseph Siegworth.
Cameron resides in Wauwatosa with his parents, brother, sister, and dog. He is currently a Junior at Wauwatosa West High School.
Cameron also plays viola, trumpet, French horn, and piano, and also conducts various ensembles through the West music program. Cameron participates in the West Symphony Orchestra, Full Orchestra, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Pit Orchestra, and Music Theory III. In addition, he has conducted the Concert Orchestra, Whitman Middle School Band, and Percussion Ensemble. In addition, he is in his second year as the sole Drum Major for the West Marching Band.
Cameron's piece Neptune Winds was given its premiere by the Whitman Middle School sixth grade band when he was a freshman. His piece Solaris was premiered by Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra through the John Downey Creation project in 2024.
Cameron has gone to WSMA State Solo and Ensemble for the last 4 years; this year, he qualified for State in all six of his events.
In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis for West and practicing music. Cameron would like to thank all of his teachers and instructors for helping him get to where he is today.
