Tatiana Pearson (MM, BFA UW-Milwaukee) is a Wisconsin based flutist and instructor. Currently, she is Adjunct Flute Professor at UW-Parkside, Wisconsin Lutheran College, Falls Baptist Academy, and Maranatha Baptist University. In addition to running a growing flute studio out of her new home in Muskego, Wisconsin, she also freelances with many groups such as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Festival City Symphony, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
Tatiana has participated in masterclasses with Nicola Mazzanti, Mimi Stillman, Sarah Jackson, and countless others. Tatiana placed Honorable Mention in the 2022 and 2023 Floot Fire Virtual Soloist competition, Alternate in the 2018 Upper Midwest Flute Association Young Artist Competition, Honorable Mention in the 2016 and 2017 Walter A. and Dorothy J. Oestereich Young Artist Competition, and First Place in the 2012/2013 UWM Band Concerto Competition.
In summer of 2025, Tatiana founded the Waukesha Area Flute Ensemble known as “WAFE.” Tatiana began conducting the MYSO flute choirs since the start of 2026. As an alum of MYSO (class of 2009), she greatly values MYSO and can’t recommend it enough to parents and says, “Without MYSO, I would not have the career I have now. And I couldn’t ask for a better one! I am literally doing what I love each and every day and it brings me so much joy.”
