Elena LaManna has been playing the violin since age three. She began studying violin with Anna Rasmussen and currently studies with Ilana Setapen. This is her second year in MYSO, and she is a member of String Orchestra North. She has attended the Oregon Suzuki Institute for the past two years and has achieved top ratings in violin performance from the Wisconsin School Music Association’s Solo & Ensemble festival and the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs. Elena is a fifth grader at Bayside Middle School, and she enjoys extracurricular activities such as biking, swimming, tennis, pop orchestra, pickleball, and softball. In addition to her violin pursuits, Elena studies piano with Heinzel Kunsmann. She also enjoys cooking, crafting, drawing, and playing games with her sister and family.
